Achievements - Students
BASKETBALL:
10 students were selected to represent Western Region
at the ICSE Basketball Nationals which were held at Mysore during
October 2007.
ISC Group: Bedant Bhutia, Kanishk Chhibber, Sharva Vaidya,
Mihir Londhe and Abhirup Khetarpal.
ICSE Group BOYS: Srikant Nambiar, Namdeo Parab and Girish
Yadav.
ICSE Group GIRLS: Pooja Patil and Aarushi Dsouza.
The ICSE Girls were the champions at the National Championships.
ATHLETICS:
Pooja Patil bagged Gold in 100mts and 200mts race at Ahmednagar
and along with Shalaka Satam who bagged Silver in the Triple
Jump event is going to Kolkata for the School Nationals to
be held from 7th Jan 2008.
12 students were selected to represent the Western Region
at the ICSE Athletics Nationals which were held at Kerala
during November 2007.
ISC Group: Pavan Powan, Prateek Satam, Neil Manjrekar, Krishanu
Wadawalkar and Anirudh.
ICSE Group BOYS: Raunaq Sokhi, Mayuresh Gawade, Kautuk Parkar,
Rohan Saha.
ICSE Group GIRLS: Pooja Patil, Shalaka Satam and Neha Pandeya.
Rohan Saha, Kautuk Parkar, Mayuresh Gawade, Pooja Patil and
Shalaka Satam won medals at the National Meet.
TABLE TENNIS
Yash Nerulkar, Saneesh Ambekar, Sameer Kamath and Vivek Venkatraman
won at the State level which was held at Akola during November
and Sameer Kamath was selected to represent Maharashtra State
Team for the School Nationals.
A. ICSE Results at a glance 293
Students appeared out of which 225 students got distinction,
61 students passed with I class and 7 students got II class.
60 students secured above 90%.
Aniket Nikumbh secured the highest % of 96.17%,
which is probably the 2nd highest in the western region.
5 students have achieved 100 marks in Computer
Applications and 1 student in Commercial Applications.
B. ISC Results at a glance
98 students appeared out of which 70 students got distinction
and 27 students passed with I class and 1 student got II class.
21 students scored above 90%.
Rajhansa Sridhara secured the highest % of 97.8,
which is only two marks less than the highest in the country.
20 students got 100/100 in Mathematics and one student has
got 100 / 100 in Physics.
5 students cleared the IIT exams in 2005 and 3
students cleared it this year.
C. Other achievements 2
students were selected for the International Junior Science
Olympiad at Brazil. Mr. Abhishek Padmanabhan of class X bagged
the Bronze Medal and Mr. Namit Shetty of class XI bagged the
Silver Medal.
Abhishek Padmanabhan also bagged the State Winner
Award at Terra-quiz 06 received a cheque of Rs. 5500/-.
The school won the Rotary Benadryl Ferradol Inter School
Rolling Trophy and a cash award of Rs. 25000/-. The team was
represented by Abhishek Padmanabhan, Pranav Kannan, Pranav
Shetty.
On occasion of Aviation Day Abhishek Padmanabhan, Pranav
Kannan and Neha Verma participated in Elocution & quiz
competition on Aviation and won prizes.
Class 11 students were also given certificates
for their projects on Aviation and have been selected for
National level presentation at Chandigarh.
The coveted Shri Gopal Krishna Singhania Gold Medal
for the outstanding student was awarded to Mas. Sankalp Kelshikar.
The Lala Kailashpat Singhania Gold medal was awarded
Mas. Aniket Nikumb for being the topper for having secured
the highest marks in Std 10 [ICSE] Board Examination 2006.
Mas. Rajhansa Sridhara bagged the Gold Medal for Std
12 [ISC] having stood first in Std 12th Examination 2006.
He secured the highest in all the subjects with 100% in Maths
and Physics.
This year Mas. Abhishek Padmanabhan bagged the Police
Commissioner D Sivanandhan’s rolling Trophy for Academic
excellence that is awarded to the student with maximum marks
in Std 9 & 10.
Mas. Abhishek Padmanabhan and Mas. Namit Shetty were
honoured with the Certificate of Excellence towards their
contribution made by participating in the International Junior
Science Olympiad (IJSO) at Brazil in December 06.
Trophy for highest aggregate in Curricular & co-curricular
activities i.e General Raina Trophy was conferred to the Vindhya
House.
Yamuna House scored the highest aggregate in all competitions
that are cultural & literary in nature and bagged the
Major General Vohra Trophy.
