Reaching Out to the Society
The school over the years has been gearing students
towards actively contributing towards humanity. The recent
disasters have left behind a grieving world unable to come
to terms with the sheer magnitude of tragedy which asks all
to shed the attitude of indifference and do what we can to
help the millions whose lives have been splintered. We are
all one and the suffering that we see is our own.
The school started its social service wing in a small way
by adopting 9 children of Kargil Martyrs from district of
Sangli and Satara by sponsoring their education five years
ago. It has grown from there by extending its wings to various
agencies like Mentally Challenged Schools, Alert India, Gujarat
Relief Fund, Cancer Society, Help age India , and National
Association for Blind, National Association for Disabled,
Indian Council for Mental Health, Indian Association of Adoption
and Child Welfare. Special assistance was given to one of
the students who needed major surgery.
We have been reaching out to the society by way of interaction
with the less privileged, differently challenged children
and orphans. We have contributed to old age homes , Adivasi
school, St John the Baptist School for mentally challenged
and Jidd School of mentally challenged.
In the threshold of yet another challenging year, we look
back to how we have made a difference in the eyes of the victims
of untold misery.
