EU visit to the School on 8th Feb’2011 ...

8th of February 2011 will truly remain a memorable day in the history of Smt. Sulochanadevi Singhania School. A delegation of Eu Mind group of 12 Principals and Head teachers across Netherlands visited our school. They came from different backgrounds and disciplines from the Elementary class to class 12. The purpose of their visit was to learn about or school and if possible pursue partnership tie-ups on different levels.

From the time they arrived to when the delegates left they indeed had a glimpse of what it means to be a Sulonian. And to live up to it our students put their best foot forward to showcase all international projects that were done as well as to put up a wonderful show to exhibit their talents in the cultural arena. The children spoke with confidence and were able to answer questions and interact well with the visitors who were very impressed. They were particularly appreciative about the projects, chart work etc of the students. The different projects show cased were World Cuisines, Continent Asia, Games around the World, Rivers around the World, different structures, Religions born in India, Textiles and Handicrafts of India, Monster Exchanges (Mask making),Climatic regions of the World and Urban Pollution.

The highlight of the day wa the Cultural Programme put up by the students. The Sulonians performed Indian Folk dances, Classical dances, as well as a Ballet of Oriental, Folk and Philippino dance forms  with grace and perfection thus leaving the audience enthralled. The cultural plethora was an eye opener and a source of immense pleasure and joy to all those who watched the programme.

In his concluding Guest address Mr. Ludo acknowledged they could indeed learn from India’s vision about humanity and agreed that the curriculum of the School is truly global. He also thanked the dedicated team of teachers who work behind the scenes to motivate the children so that the best in them can be brought out.

Mrs. Anami Ludo remarked that it would be her dream to be reborn as a child just to study in Singhania School. This indeed sums up the success of the day.

Sulonians truly won the hearts of the EU Mind delegates.
