HONOUR SOCIETY AWARDS 2011-2012 ...

Smt. Sulochanadevi Singhania School of Thane has a glorious history of recognizing, nurturing and rewarding talents of all shades and varieties, right from its nascent days of inception. True to the beliefs of its founding father, the school brings to the limelight, the young buds ’ exceptional abilities of grasping and garnering the nuances of modern educational techniques.

The 25th of June, 2011 will remain as a red-letter day in the memory of 264 and 330 student luminaries from the Junior and Senior sections respectively and their proud parents, when they gathered at the sacrosanct ‘Malhar’ auditorium. The moment of pride came when the list of honours for the year 2011-2012 was announced and invited on the stage which saw the presence of Mrs.Jayanthi Rajagopalan, an educationist from Toronto and Mrs. Revathi Srinivasan, Principal and Director-Education, the anchor for the Singhania fraternity.

The imposing statistics of Honour Society achievers for the academic year 2011-2012 reads as follows:

This pavilion of achievers is headed by Prakruti Panditputra, Treeza Lahoria and Ayush Rathod with a GPA of 4.81 among the juniors and Shalaka Kulkarni with a GPA of 4.86 in the senior section.

While addressing the parent gathering of Junior section,Mrs.Shampa Chatterjee,the junior Yamuna House- master reminded that the students have also the responsibility to carry forward the fire within them forever and motivate  other students who look up to Honour- Society members as idols and aspire to gain entry to this club.Mrs.Janice Furtado,the senior Ganga House-master praised the students as, having made their institution and parents  proud, they have proved to be an inspiration, motivating other students to realize that , ‘To live the life you see /Be the best you can be.’

The chief guest for the day, Madam Rajagopalan declared that the level of achievement earned by the students has indeed humbled her. She congratulated the teachers and parents for having done a good job. She advised the parents to cherish the moments of childhood and make the child feel important. In her opinion, each of them is going to be an amazing star and keep up the name of the Honour Society club.
