REACHING SUBLIME HEIGHTS .....

On 25th June 2012, the students of class 11 got the golden opportunity to interact with Captain Danny Desai, an aviator par excellence, who shared with them the memorable experiences and unforgettable events of his 31- year long illustrious career. The Captain who had kept the stars, the moon and the clouds company for so many years, captivated his young audience! His eloquent expression, interesting anecdotes, topped with generous sprinkling of easy humour, left the students mesmerized. For two hours, they listened enraptured to his tales of mid – air scares, experiences regarding security measures in aviation and the importance of quick action. His description of the heavenly feeling of being up in the air with more than a hundred lives depending, reflected his immense passion for flying.
Responding to students’ questions readily and freely, he described the struggle in his youth to achieve his dream of becoming a pilot, the tough climb to the top and the learning experiences along the way. During the session, the Captain gave the students valuable snippets of his life’s philosophy – love, faith, hope and self –confidence the guiding principles of his life.
The students had a chance to learn a lot about aviation, its regulations, its risks and much more. Above all, they received a bird’s eye view of the pilot’s profession – as one of dignity, skill and supreme commitment. The afternoon proved to be a memorable one for each and every student!
