Rim Jhim (Event for Teachers) ...

The very word Rhim-Jhim evokes pictures of  the gentle pitter patter of rain, cups of  tea with wisps of smoke rising up and dissolving into the air ,accompanied by some hot delicious snacks. All these elements and more were present in our first ever music concert "Rhim-Jhim" held in the evening of 28th August, 2010. There were several pioneering elements associated with our musical concert. This is the first time ever that such a concert was being held in the school. The entire programme was conceptualized and carried out by our staff members. And a big surprise! The spouses were also invited, which made the evening all the more special.

The school, which usually reverberates with the noise of children was now filled with melodious songs. Closed eyes, swaying heads and tapping feet greeted the slower numbers while the faster songs were accompanied by some loud whistles and graceful dancing on part of the audience. Cries of "once more" filled the auditorium. The romance of rains seeped into the appreciative audience. Even the ambience in the auditorium reflected the magical monsoon with dark clouds gracing the doorways. On the stage were a pair of figures under an umbrella, surely reminding us of that immortal scene from the movie "Shri 420". Who can forget Raj Kapoor and Nargis singing "pyaar huaa, ikraar hua", under an umbrella?

A wonderful evening ended with some light-hearted moments and then dinner. As if to herald the success of the concert, it started raining that very night and is yet to stop! Surely, Rhim-Jhim has left us thirsting for more such cultural events.
