School Houses ...
The word 'House' refers to a grouping of students, and our school has 4 houses, and every student is allotted a particular house at the time of admission. The House system brings about a sense of belongingness, students work together as a team towards a particular goal. They are able to show talents and perform to their fullest potential and in a healthy competitive spirit. One notable feature of the House System specially at the middle and senior level is, the nominations and elections of the house captains, whose job is to rally fellow members and select students for individual and team events.
Vindhya House - Orange
The Vindhya range of hills separates the subcontinent into northern and southern India. Both northern and southern slopes of the range have the tributaries of the river Ganga flowing through. The house colour is ORANGE, which denotes Energy, warmth and is vibrant and flamboyant.The warm colour is a stimulant and demands attention and is dedicated.
Himachal House - White
The Himalayan mountain range which separates the Indian subcontinent from the Tibetan Plateau. The Himalaya means "the abode of snow" The entire range covers the northern part going through five states. The colour WHITE is of innocence and truthfulness. White reflects the light of all parts of the visible spectrum equally and are not dull. White signifies calm, cool, pure and patient.
Yamuna House - Green
Yamuna is the major river of the northern India and is the largest tributary of the river Ganga. Its source is from the north of the Himalayan Mountains and flowing through different states, it merges with Ganga at Allahabad. The GREEN colour symbolises earth, nature and life. It is considered as the colour of peace and ecology.
Ganga House - Blue
The Ganga river is worshiped by hindus as a goddess. It is called the 'holy Ganga' or 'Ganga ma'. Along with Yamuna, it forms a large fertile Gangetic plains, through north India and Bangladesh. BLUE of eternal peace and acknowledgement of being one with eternity and the flow of life by accepting, receiving the deep inner peace. Blue the vibration of naturing, reflection of emotions, ability to communicate, to utilize the knowledge.
