Inter ICSE and ISC Basketball Tournament ...
16th September morning, 8.30 am, saw dark clouds gathering across the sky, which soon rolled down into tiny droplets of rain. A perfect weather for the intense tournaments to begin. It seemed as if the heavens were showering their blessings on the players of the participating schools that had assembled for the inauguration of the 8th ICSE/ISC Basketball tournament.
The flag being hoisted proudly proclaimed its theme- ‘it’s not just a sport but a lifestyle.’ The Principal, Mrs. Revathi Srinivasan, welcomed the young, enthusiastic players with her inspirational words followed by a speech from the chief guest, Mr. Ravi Nair, joint secretary of Maharasthra State Basketball Federation and Secretary of Thane District Basketball Association.
The inaugural match played between Vibgyor High and Avabai Petit was a tough one; each team fighting with grit, determination and a sense of resoluteness. The Vibgyor team emerged victorious.
Our school will have a fun filled exhilarating time playing the role of the host and watching the various participating schools for the next four days, truly said, though focused and having a winning streak in them, the enjoyment in participating in the matches is an unbeatable experience.
